This is a translation of the Spanish version, which prevails in case of any discrepancy.
In short: this site uses Google analytics, and it does not load until you allow it. Besides the local storage that keeps your best score, the site may use Google Analytics to see, in aggregate, how the site is used. If you reject the optional cookies, that service never loads.

Playing requires no data at all. Billions runs entirely in your browser: no sign-up, no accounts, no subscription. You can play as many games as you like without anything being stored on any server.
Data is only processed if you choose to submit a score to the public leaderboard at the end of a game. That is explained in the next section.
When a game ends you can press «Save score» and type a name. Only then, and only if you press «Save», is the following sent to our server:
Legal basis: your consent, given when you press «Save». If you do not press it, nothing is sent.
Retention: scores are kept for as long as the leaderboard exists, or until you ask for yours to be deleted.
Who can see it: the name and the score are public —that is what a leaderboard is for— and anyone can see them. Nothing else is.
This site uses Google Analytics cookies to measure visits,
traffic sources and general use of the site. These cookies, managed by Google,
usually include anonymous identifiers such as _ga,
_gid and, depending on the configuration, _gat. Their
purpose is aggregate usage statistics, not identifying any particular
person.
None of these cookies is set until you accept: while no choice has been made, the site makes no request to any Google server. You can change your mind at any time from the Cookies link in the footer.
The browser's local storage (localStorage) is
also used to remember your best score, kept under the key
billions.best.points. That value:
One Google service is used, subject to your prior consent: Google Analytics, to measure visits and general use of the site. What it records is used for statistical analysis and does not identify any particular user.
The fonts and libraries the game needs are served from this same domain and not from third-party content networks. That is deliberate: requesting them elsewhere would have handed your IP address to that company on every visit, for no benefit at all.
The donation button leads to PayPal. The payment happens entirely on their site and under their terms, so we neither receive nor store any card or account details of yours; only the notice that a donation came in. The page loads no PayPal images or trackers: until you press the button, your browser never talks to them. See their privacy policy.
Scores are stored in Supabase, on a database hosted in the Ireland region (eu-west-1), inside the European Union. Supabase acts as data processor. See their privacy policy.
The game never talks to that server while you play: the only request happens when you press «Save», and another when the leaderboard is loaded.
The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL), with the files stored in the Ireland region (eu-west-1) and delivered over their CloudFront network.
To send you a page at all, any server in the world needs to know your IP address for a moment; that is a technical condition of the internet, not data collection on our part. Access logs are switched off, so no history of visits is kept. As CloudFront is a worldwide network, delivery may happen from nodes in North America, covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. See the AWS privacy policy.
The game is suitable for any age and playing requires no data. If you are a minor and want to appear on the leaderboard, use a nickname that cannot identify you and do not type your full name.
Regulation (EU) 2016/679 gives you the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection.
If you have never submitted a score, we hold no data about you and there is nothing to provide or to erase.
If you have submitted one and want to correct the name or delete the entry, write to hola@ganoyo.com telling us the name it appears under and the score, and it will be removed. You can also withdraw your consent at any time the same way.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
If the game ever adds a feature that does process data, this page will be updated before that feature goes live, and it will say so clearly.
